About Bramm

About Bramm.

Bramm started with a spreadsheet.

Not a metaphor. An actual spreadsheet — columns for suppliers, rows for risks, a tab called "Auth Matrix (do not delete)" that three people were editing simultaneously and nobody fully trusted. A compliance programme held together with formulas, goodwill, and the quiet dread of an upcoming audit.

We know that system well. We ran it. And we knew exactly what was wrong with it — and that the tools built to fix it cost €40,000 a year, required a six-month implementation, and were built for enterprises in San Francisco. Not for a 40-person company in the Netherlands trying to do the right thing without a dedicated security team.

So we built Bramm instead.

What we believe

We believe compliance is not a department. It's a habit. And habits form when things are easy, visible, and close to where work already happens.

We believe that AI should make your data safer — not put it at risk. That's why every question asked in Bramm passes through a Privacy Shield that strips names, numbers, and identifiers before a single token reaches any AI model. Not as a setting you have to turn on. As the default.

We believe Europe deserves its own answer to this problem. Not a US platform with a GDPR checkbox bolted on. Something built here, hosted here, and designed for the regulatory reality that European companies actually live in.

How we work

Bramm is built by people who have sat on both sides of the compliance table — inside organisations running ISMS programmes, and in the audit room checking whether they hold up. We work with ISO 27001 auditors, not just around them. That shapes every decision we make: what to build, what to leave out, and what an auditor actually needs to see.

We are focused. Deliberately so.

One more thing

Every month, Bramm donates to the Coral Nurture Program on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. We call our small piece of it The Bramm Reef. Not because we're saving the ocean. But because we think technology should give something back to the planet — and saying so once, quietly, is enough.

The Coral Nurture Program is a unique partnership between researchers, tour operators and Traditional Owners to develop and apply innovative science to boost resilience at high-value reef locations, with the goal to transform both ecological and social resilience to environmental change.
